In this role you will drive meaningful value across a wide array of eCommerce and Publisher sites by writing relevant, compelling copy that not only aligns with, but enhances our clients’ brand voice. You will work in collaboration with account managers to understand the campaigns that they’ve proposed for our clients’ onsite, email, and SMS programs then write copy that will generate results and delight our clients and their end customers. 

The ideal candidate is results-focused, self-motivated, and takes joy in crafting subtly nuanced and creative copy. They will be excited to work with a highly motivated and enthusiastic team across a wide variety of client types - you may be writing for a luxury clothing store, a beauty brand, a quirky t-shirt site, and an airline all in the same day. They will deliver high quality results and will constantly be looking to push their skills, to learn more about the brands and individuals they’re writing for, and to stay up on (or, even better, ahead of) industry trends. They will have an eye for what is driving the best consumer engagement and results for the client.


  • Have a deep understanding of BounceX campaign types, the strategy behind them, and how we drive performance 
  • For each copy request, work to understand the client’s business context, their brand voice, the goals of the campaign, and the mindset of the end audience
  • Compose effective and interesting copy tailored to the specific request that drives user engagement and uniquely reflects the client’s brand voice
  • Clearly communicate copy to the design team via our internal ticketing software
  • Confirm that final copy appears as desired on the creative and work with designers to make any needed changes to ensure the best possible results
  • Make revisions based on account manager or client feedback, knowing what aspects of the copy are important for performance and which are ok to change, suggesting alternate solutions if performance will be compromised
  • Work to develop process to work efficiently and effectively with Customer Success, the Implementation team, and designers
  • Collaborate with Designers to establish best practices for copy length and character count as it relates to creative layouts
  • Speak with clients over the phone or in meetings on a one-off basis if needed to align on copy
  • Assist with copywriting for example campaigns, new product demos, etc.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 1-4 years writing copy professionally across varying industries and verticals, including for large, household and retail brands
  • Proven ability to write clear, concise, results-driven based copy
  • Proven ability to reflect and maintain a consistent brand voice
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply persuasion techniques such as social proof, scarcity, loss aversion, etc. to copy
  • Strong desire to learn about digital marketing strategy and apply industry knowledge to copy
  • Desire and ability to work alongside account managers, designers, and other internal teams as a true partner
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Experience working in digital marketing, eCommerce, or online publishing would be a plus
  • Experience with copywriting for European or multi-language businesses would be a plus
