Customer Insights Associate

As a Customer Insights Associate, you’ll drive value across a wide array of eCommerce & Publisher sites by empowering them with meaningful insights about their businesses. Within the Performance Strategy team, your primary focus will be collaboration with Customer Success managers to analyze onsite, email, and SMS marketing programs.

This role involves a cross-functional & consultative approach to analytics that will empower you to solve problems rather than simply pull data. This could mean anything from getting the weeds with a customer success manager to better understand a specific client question to taking a step back to determine what resources could be created to ensure stronger performance for all clients in the future.

The ideal candidate is a problem solver who has an interest in identifying opportunities for optimization. Data is their passion, they’re eager to learn, and they thrive in collaborative environments. They enjoy turning complex data pulls into clear takeaways that are accessible to internal team members & clients who don’t have a quantitative background.


  • Obtain a deep understanding of the BounceX product & how it can best be leveraged to drive performance
  • Be the point person for handling ad hoc analytics questions from clients or Customer Success Managers, working with them to solve client problems, rather than simply pulling data 
  • Act as a domain expert for our business intelligence tool, Looker. Extract insights, identify opportunities for improvement, & validate integrity of all BounceX campaigns
  • Deliver and communication data & insights in a consumable & actionable manner for both our client facing teams & our clients
  • Lead data trainings for new hires & Customer Success team members
  • Build various performance and monitoring dashboards


  • 0-2 years experience (professional, internship or academic) in digital marketing, marketing/business analytics or another related field 
  • Demonstrated experience (professional, internship or academic) in problem solving & troubleshooting
  • Previous academic/internship experience drawing insights from analytics and simplifying/summarizing complex topics to an audience who us technical or analytical
  • Possess the ability and desire to work cross-functionally on a regular basis (ex. customer success, analytics & other stakeholders)
  • Must possess strong quantitative/analytical interest/mindset
  • Must possess moderate to advanced MS Excel (eg. VLookUp, Pivot Tables)
  • Basic familiarity & understanding of SQL and Looker software preferred but not required.
  • You must be able to provide documentation of authorization to work in the US
  • You must possess permanent US work authorization
